Thousands of tourists pack their bags each year to visit the majestic archipelago of Balearic Island. Also known as the holiday islands floating in the Mediterranean coast of Spain. Balearic Island is divided into three main islands The three main islands are Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca. Cabrera and Formentera are the two other islands located at the southern coast of Mallorca and south of Ibiza, respectively. The three main island has its own distinct feature, character and landscape. For these reasons, Balearics offers something for everyone.

Ibiza The Party Island

Ibiza is the party capital Europe, where all the best and the biggest night clubs in the world can be found. Ibiza is the nearest to the mainland, 100 kilometers off the Costa Blanca coast. Its the place of wild rich kids and hard core party goers that often catch the attention of global media.

Ibiza has become popular for its charming hippy chic scene, the high rise canyons of San Ant?nio and in the resort of Playa d en Bossa. Ibiza town is the place where you would spend the rest your vacation when coming to Ibiza, the other towns are nothing compared to the capital of the islands.

Mallorca Exclusive holiday Island

The largest island of Balearics and one of Europe s best holiday destination that floats north west of Ibiza is Mallorca. During the peak seasons, the island is jumped pack with famous movie personalities. In fact, many big stars and jet set type bought exclusive holiday homes on Mallorca.

The northern coast of the island displays rich natural wonders virtually untouched by tourism and strings of rugged mountains with secluded crystal blue beaches on its back. A boat adventure off to the archipelago of Cabrera which has been declared a National Maritime Territorial park is a must when you drop by the place. The crystal blue sea are treasures for deep sea divers and snorkelers alike. The underwater beauty of the archipelago is fascinating.

Menorca The Green Hushed Island

Located at the far eastern coast of the Balearic Islands, Menorca has a green, tranquil and hushed atmosphere behind its beautiful beaches. Unlike the cramped and chattering scene from the two other islands, Menorca is a place with endless miles of uncrowded beaches, delightful fishing villages and historic towns.

The island is bountiful with tasty exotic seafood to indulge yourself. In fact, King Juan Carlos pops over here on the royal yacht from Mallorca for fresh seafood lunches.

Tourist coming to the Balearic Island should bear in mind the strongly resisted eco tax which was implemented in May 2002 to battle the rising threat to the environment caused by mass tourism. But even with the additional tax, accommodations, food and activities are very affordable. Five star hotels attract the top rate of two Euros per night and environmentally friendly rural accommodation, classed as agrotourism , has the lowest rate of 25 cents. Another thing to note is the Passport/Visa and Health requirements for visiting the Balearic Islands are the same as for visiting mainland Spain.
