1)The Last Supper is the most famous painting of Leonardo Da Vinci and it is kept in the Gothic church – Saint Maria delle Grazie or Saint Mary of the Graces. It is surrounded by intricate mosaics and the overall effect is quite humbling. You can also see the altar of Catholic Saint Padre Pio. The church is so popular that you should reserve your ticket months in advance, and likewise it is best to book car hire Milan long before you come in order to get the best prices. 2)The most impressive building is probably the Duomo cathedral which has incredible stained glass windows. This late Gothic church is made of white marble and has hundreds of statues attached to it so can t fail to dazzle the visitor. Near to the station you can pop into the Duomo museum to find out more about this magnificent building which was constructed seven hundred years ago. 4)Milan is a shopper s dreams and there are a number of markets in the city which sell everything from antiques to vintage shoes. In the dell Antiquario del Naviglio Grande alone there are four hundred merchants and you can get bargains on all sorts of items including carpets and lamps. Also look out for beautiful shoes.

5)Just Cavalli café – Milan is one of the foremost fashion cities in the world and what could be more fashionable than going to a café owned by the designer Roberto Cavalli? This is a place to see and be seen and you may even get the chance to spot some celebrities.

10)See the Bronze Horse carved by Leonardo da Vinci. It stands outside the San Siro which is the football stadium for both the Milan football teams.
